From August 26th -August 30th 2008 FORV hosted an Art in Nature Project at the
Rhydymwyn Valley Nature Reserve. At the end of the week there was a
procession of giant carnival lantern sculptures through the village as a
culmination of the art work project  followed by a barbecue .
A very enjoyable village fete was held over the weekend of July 11th and 12th.
in 2009.The event was opened by Sandy Mewes our Welsh Assembly member
After a Race Meeting held at The Oak in Hendre the first Village Fete and Folk
Evening for many years was held at the Football Club on Saturday 19th July 2008
The event was formerly opened by Mr Brynle  Williams
